Well it is indeed a very long thing and all sort of mechanical resonances will apply.
If the engine direction control loop is not properly adapted to it
(likely software in this case) it will lag or lead in thrust direction correction..
Control loops are not such a simple thing... I have written some in software.
OTOH the right control system should make even a sort of unstable system flyable..
It might unite humanity like the moon landings did.

Musk lost it when buying Twitter, but I do have hope the the great engineers at SpaceX will get things working right.
