How did science journalism fall so abysmally low?
Dear chemical reaction,
Try to understand what the article says

It is a very interesting subject, also see
https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2024/02/240221213846.htm
https://www.waseda.jp/top/en/news/79966

in these days where one religious fanatic group of idiots (jews) try genocide
on other religious fanatic groups (Islamist) it would be good if they
realized they are just a pawn in the game of their 'religious' leaders who
use dogma and all sorts of crap to control them (same for christian fanatic groups, etc).
That is the same for that war mongering half senile US leader who just wants to create jobs for his
military industrial complex by creating war wherever he can.
All payed for by the US taxpayer and burning human lives on all sides in the process.
Stupid ants dancing to the tune of those who bring their kids up and brainwash them with their bullshit
as life is everywhere in the universe ..
NASA will never find life outside earth, even if it did byte them in the ass,
it would be explained as self imposed mutilation by Gods hand
, as NASA is partly (or mostly) controlled by republican religious fanatics
it will only notice signs of life in some comet part on earth
when they need more budget, after getting more budget the traces are declared to be no sign of life
They played that a couple of times now
The great US lost commercial moon lander turned out to have crashed because some clueless person
forgot to remove the security pin in the laser range finder

WW3 wonder who nukes first, Russia has already warned it will, US shit likely won't fly
as no screws like in boeing planes or forgotten pins, UK shit does not fly either.
See how random chemical reactions work from that?
All them 'merricans or what's left of them learning Chinese and Russian after that.

English language science journalism is pretty bad. Most English language
science journalists seem to see it as a stepping stone to more
interesting sorts of journalism.

"New Scientist" is better - they seem to get actual scientists to write
popular science articles - but I was blown away by the quality of the
Dutch science journalism in the Volkskrant and the NRC Handelsblad - it
took me years to find an error in their output.

That is not really true, there is almost always a link to
the original website AND to the original paper.
That sometimes needs some money (Nature for example) or Uni reference.
For these that are interested even without paying for access there is google as a big help.
So to see what's going on and more, sciencedaily is a very nice first read in the morning
before geting exposed to things like CNN and trump's lawsuits or whatever other misery in the world.

Jan is mainly silly. Donald Trump does set a bad example, and any
sensible society would discourage him from embarrassing himself in
public, rather than publishing his maunderings on prime time TV, which
does licenses half-wits like Jan to spread equally irrational nonsense.

https://www.citizensforethics.org/reports-investigations/crew-reports/trumps-91-criminal-charges-and-where-they-stand/

Trump is the first ex-president to be charged with any criminal offenses
in the regular courts, but he claims that this is all a politically
motivated witch hunt.

If US politicians had a history of being subject to this kind of
persecution, this might make sense, but the alternative argument - that
he is being gone after because he was uniquely criminally irresponsible
- makes a lot more sense.

There are fanatics everywhere. Fortunately, there are genuinely

Not all of them, obviously, but Netanyahu does seem to be catering to
that portion of Israeli public opinion. The massacre of 1200 Jews by
Hamas was repugnant, but killing 30,000 people in the Gaza Strip is an
over-reaction.

Hamas does need to be rooted out, but the indiscriminate bombing and
shelling of the Gaza Strip is not an acceptable way of doing it.

EV RNA buddings as universal inter single-cell communication:

Maybe I would have gone into building my own Dino as kid
but the Build Your Own Dino kits were not available yet back then.
But on the horizon now, if not already here.
I mean COVID man made killed a lot of people,
growing up your own little Dino in some terrarium,
was thinking inserting fertilizing chicken eggs with recovered Dino DNA or something
a new Easter :-)
